A bit about me
I'm a backend software engineer focused on distributed systems and payments infrastructure. I currently build at Remitly on the Customer Success Engineering team โ shipping business payouts orchestration and conversational-commerce platforms across WhatsApp, Messenger, and voice.
Before Remitly I spent two years at Walmart (Sam's Club) scaling adtech data platforms, work that helped grow team revenue from $40M to ~$300M. I like the hard parts of backend โ orchestration workflows, identity migrations, event-driven systems, and squeezing reliability out of large-scale pipelines. I write mostly in Go, Java, and Python.

Experience
Software Development Engineer
Remitly, Inc. โ Customer Success Engineering ยท Remote (India)- Delivered core backend for SMB Bulk Send, Remitly's business multi-recipient payouts product, from MVP through post-launch stabilization โ customer-facing read APIs, a refunds-orchestration workflow with auto-reversals and compensation, and velocity-limit enforcement ($10K / 24h) that closed a cap-bypass race condition.
- Built va-connector-svc from the ground up for the conversational-commerce platform โ the integration layer for remittance estimates, corridor management and recipient ops across WhatsApp, Messenger and IVR โ enabling new features including Remitly on ChatGPT.
- Led the BSUID identity migration across 5 services (Prometheus-instrumented, fleet-wide dashboard) for WhatsApp Business API compliance; shipped voice self-service hitting 28% call containment, launched Messenger (~12K txns/mo), and added SMS OTP login (+40% auth rate).
Software Developer III
Walmart Inc. (Sam's Club) ยท Dallas, Texas- SQL Server Migration โ architected end-to-end campaign-data migration from Azure to GCP with Java microservices on BigQuery/GCS, cutting processing time from ~1 day to under 2 hours.
- Single Source of Truth โ built Airflow-orchestrated Dataproc pipelines centralizing campaign data, dropping the data-availability SLA from 7 days to 1 and lifting accuracy to ~99.5%; helped grow team revenue from $40M to ~$300M.
- Leveraging Artemis โ onboarded Sam's Club onto Walmart Adtech via a multi-tenant architecture, saving ~8 months of development time.
Software Developer III Intern (ML)
Walmart Inc. ยท Bentonville, Arkansas- Built a predictive ML model forecasting annual 3rd-party ad impressions across all Sam's Club stores at ~86% F1 from location and demographic features.
- Designed a Tableau dashboard tracking up to 100M impressions; drove ~20M added impressions and foot traffic over two months.
